Meet Our Attorneys

As Noblesville natives and lifelong residents of Hamilton County, father-son attorneys Stephen W. “Steve” Cook and S. Matthew Cook offer experienced legal representation to clients throughout Hamilton County.

Steve graduated from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and Indiana University Maurer School of Law – Bloomington, in the upper 10 percent of his class. He earned his Bachelor of Science with distinction and his Doctor of Jurisprudence cum laude. He was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma, a national business honorary, and to the Order of the Coif, a legal honorary.

He is an active member of the Hamilton County Bar Association and served as the president for one year. He is also a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Steve is admitted to practice in all Indiana state courts, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Steve and Matt are staunch community supporters. Steve’s community involvement includes serving as president of the Noblesville Schools Board of Trustees for two terms. During his tenure on the board, the new Noblesville high school was built. He served as a board member of Babe Ruth Baseball League, Boys & Girls Club, and Noblesville Chamber of Commerce. Steve also served as scoutmaster and assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 101 for many years.

Steve helps clients with estate planning, probate, personal injury litigation, business and commercial real estate matters, and family law.

Matt is the seventh-generation born in Noblesville. He also earned his Bachelor in Science in business from Indiana University Kelley School of Business and from there, his J.D. at Indiana University Maurer School of Law. A member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal honorary, Matthew was named to the distinguished Order of Barristers.

Admitted to practice before the United States District Court in the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, Matt’s professional membership includes the Hamilton County and Indiana State bar associations.

Matt is an avid supporter of scouting and currently serves as the Troop Committee chairman and assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 101. He is also serving on the board of the Megan S. Ott Foundation, an entity which helps women receiving breast cancer treatment.

Matt focuses on general civil and criminal trial law matters. His courtroom successes include personal injury, criminal defense, family law, probate and estate issues, and commercial law matters.
